Today, Noble Cider just got a big leg up on our funding search. We’re happy to announce that we secured a $40,000 loan from AdvantageWest Economic Development Group, western North Carolina’s regional economic development commission. Through their Advantage Opportunity Fund program, Noble Cider will receive not only a loan with great terms, but also business coaching through the Blue Ridge Entrepreneurial Counsel (BREC). With the infusion of money, we’ll be able to purchase the needed fermentation, filtration, kegging, and refrigeration equipment. And spread the good word that is Noble Cider, i.e. good marketing.
Another WNC company that has received funding through AOF is another fellow fermenter – Buchi Kombucha!
The best part – besides getting geeky on equipment research and planning: we can stop asking our friends and family for money! :)
Thanks, AdvantageWest!

Team Noble…we are so excited to hear all the progress and successes you are having. Very much looking forward to hearing when you get to put some of your delicious product in a bottle and I get to enjoy along with the rest of world. Great job!
Here’s a creative suggestion. Not sure if you are planning to try anything experimental right out of the chute but I recently read how certain hard cidar companies are playing with dry hopping for an interesting twist. Maybe they are using an extra bitter apple? Check it out

This may be sacrilegious but the IPA fan in me is dying to try this. My only chance of getting it here in Florida will be to either make it or convince someone in the southeast to give it a try. Might be a hit.
