We are thankful cidermakers

It takes a village to raise a company.

On this day of Thanksgiving, we’d like to thank everyone who has helped us make it this far!  Thanks to all of you who have let us talk your ear off about apples and prohibition –   who have given us hi-fives and encouraging words of “that’s awesome!” when we’ve told you about our idea for a cider company – who have given us money!! –  who have been open to our home taste tests.  - who have helped us juice. We are grateful for all of you!

We’d like to specifically thank a few folks by name here (in alphabetical order).  If there is a link to their business, Noble Cider highly recommends that you spend or give lots of money for their services:

  1. Your press is similar to mine (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0_Ez14bIwA) but with dual trays? Please share how you did that since it’s a HUGE improvement!

    • Hey again Alan! We actually watched your videos before we built our press. Lief actually built the press, so he figured out all the dimensions and whatnot. But, the dual tray is certainly the way to go. The frame is made of 2×4′s and plywood, with heavy coats of foodgrade poly-sealer. We’ve had another request to explain the build out, so we’ll work on putting a video together soon!

  2. Hello Trevor & crew from Noble Cider!
I really hope you had a great pressing season. I am just getting everything started in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to start something very similar and I would love to talk with you guys more about the design of your press and how it worked out for you this past year.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,

    Brodie

    • Hey Brodie! I’d be glad to trade notes with you about the press we built. Depending on how much you want to press, it’s a very effective and cheap way to do it. Great juice yields per bushel. I’m headed out of town to the CiderConference in Chicago today. By chance, are you planning to go? There’s a lot of great panel discussions scheduled regarding the whole cider making process. At any rate, I won’t be back till Saturday. We could schedule a phone call any time after this week, to get the conversation going anyway!

      Coolio,
      Trevor
